HOW CAN WE HELP ?
Within the framework of the Fountain Centre, patients using non conventional anticancer therapies have access to medical services, (including oncology and palliative care services) counselling and other psychosocial support as they require. This service is of course also available for patients using conventional anticancer therapies
This service is based on the realisation that cancer patients:
A
drop in service is available and patients (and or their relatives) are able to have access to medical
and psychosocial services as they
require.
Our email advice and support service is available for those who are unable to get to the centre but most importantly our internet based service provides instant access to information not just from our centre but also from the many sites and organisations that we link and network with. Through this network, information about treatments and patient referrals / records (subject to the usual internet safeguards) can be exchanged efficiently and rapidly throughout the country (or any where in the world) as necessary. Facilities for video conferencing between practitioners and patients also exist.
A telephone help line is also be available from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM for patients and their carers
An
outpatient clinic based on an appointment system is available for
patients who require a more formal evaluation and for those attending from
distant places. |
