The St’ Luke’s Cancer centre

The
St. Luke’s Cancer Centre and is part of the Royal Surrey County Hospital,
which serves a population of 1.2
million people with over 2,500 new patients being seen at the Cancer Centre each
year. Apart from the county of Surrey, the St. Luke’s Cancer Centre serves a
population stretching from the outskirts of London to the southern coast
covering parts of west Sussex, North and
Mid-Hampshire. The
St. Luke’s Cancer Centre also supports
5 district hospitals in the region including the Cancer Units at the East
Surrey Hospital, Crawley Hospital, St. Peter’s Hospital in Chertsy, Frimley
park Hospital and King Edward VII Hospital
at Midhurst.
The
centre has 10 Consultant Oncologists, a Staff grade Oncologist and 4 Specialist
Registrars. In addition to 2 Palliative Care Consultants who visit the
Centre. The Centre has
close links with the local hospices including, the Woking Hospice in Woking, the
Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham, St Catherine’s hospice in Crawley the
Princess Alice hospice in Esher and
the Macmillan Unit at Midhurst.
